I have so many fun and exciting adventures ahead of me I want to share just a few that are coming up quicker than I think.

My first event to kick off the holidays is in Tipton, Indiana at Horton's for their big Christmas show. Donna of Everyday Elegance has been working hard on there biggest event of the year.  She is one of the most talented persons I know and puts her heart and soul into every thing she does. I get to stay here... 

You have to see this bedroom makeover that Donna has done for her guests... it is fabulous!


Karen and Tim Horton put on fantastic events and if it is anything like the French Flea Market they had last spring, it will be spectacular!

I will be selling some of my Christmas handmades at this show, so I hope to see you there.

I have been working on my new studio at Water Street Studios trying to get it ready so I can start creating again. It has been too long since I have been able to make anything. But it is coming along,  I just got through painting and now I have been loading things from my over crowded studio at home to the gallery studio. I am getting ready for Christmas and Holiday workshops. I am anxious to start up some fun workshops for you.  Here are some pictures of the new studio.

I am still working on it, I am tired of hauling stuff back and forth. There is still lots to do but I am chipping away little by little.

I had such a wonderful surprise last week, I won something! And I didn't even enter... it was just a surprise drawing from Suzan at

She is such a sweetheart, and such a talent! Here is my wonderful surprise...

Wrapped up so pretty and put in this wonderful burlap bag with my initial on it... and a felt pumpkin with a beautiful tag.

Isn't it wonderful! A beautiful button bracelet... I love how she stacked the buttons and then sewed them on an elastic band. She used creamy carved mother of pearl and wonderful nutty colored buttons... just my color pallet.

Collage Camp and a Give Away

I also have an event coming up with KC that I will tell you about next week. It is an exciting project that has been on my heart this past year. 

I know I have been missing from the blogging world here lately and I promise I will be back blogging more regularly soon. I will be going on vacation for a week on Friday. We are  traveling with my lovely mother to her home state South Dakota and visiting some relatives and also taking in the Black Hills. I am looking forward to this, I haven't been there since my grandparents passed. Speaking of mom... today she is 85 years young,

I am adding this to my post today as I just found out that a very dear and sweet lady just went to be with the Lord. 
Annie had a business for years called Market to Market, which I enjoyed tremendously, she was a talented and sweet lady that always greeted you with a smile. She most recently was working on Stone Meadows Farm shows and her blog 
Drawing-a-Blank
Sadly to say I did not know she was struggling here lately , the last time we talked she was doing well with her chemo treatments. 
She was marveling at the goodness of the Lord and how He was revealing Himself  in her life. 
I just want to say good bye sweet Annie and praise God for the victory over death.

Part II The Creative Connection

As promised, I am posting on the second part of  The Creative Connection I was so privileged to be a part of. I have to admit I was so caught up with tending my booth I did not take any classes but my daughter did. She took Wendy Addison's classes and actually got nothing done because they talked through the whole class. Wendy is such a sweetie and I have carried her designs in all my shops even before she sold them to Midwest. I love her work and was excited when she had her booth next to mine along with Tinsel Trading... (which was hard on my pocket book, I might add.)

One of the highlights of the show was to finally meet my friend Karen Valentine of My Desert Cottage. We have spent many phone conversations together and she has helped me on my blogshop but we had not met face to face, so it was my pleasure to give her a great big hug when we saw each other.

Our first event that we attended was the Keynote Speaker dinner with Jo Packham, Nancy Soriano, Mary Jane Butters and Amy Butler.

Mary Jane, is a sweetheart and wanted me to open a white shop for her in Idaho...

For dinner we had Cornish hen with wild rice and carrots and for dessert we had apple crisp... a good Midwestern meal.
There were so many wonderful artists/business women there, I can't begin to name them all but I did manage to take a few pictures. I am not good about taking out my camera, I am more of a "in the moment gal"... just ask my kids!

It was so good to finally meet Rebecca Sower, I love her work and I have talked to her online now and then. Her work with Haiti is inspiring.

We also attended a book signing event with Ree Drummond and a thank you cocktail party. It was so much fun. Here are some random shots of the party.
