Thank You...

I just want to say thank you so much for all your encouragement and loving comments. I am doing well but very busy with closing the shop.  I so appreciate each and every one of you and I wish I could visit all of you, but I am working long hours and running my tail off right now. I will try to visit all of you when the dust settles but until then I will need a small blogging break but I will be back and do not plan on giving up blogging. This has been so rewarding and just so much fun. I love the friends I have made here and have no intention of disappearing.
I am in the middle of selling off the shop and trying to get ready for the Creative Connection in September. Hopefully I will be able to close my doors to the shop in a couple of weeks and I will be able to get back to some normalcy.
I am going to leave you with some of my favorite pictures of times in the shop.

My Shop Girls... I hope they remember the fun we had together in the shop!
Blessings to all of you
Rebecca

  19. Rebecca,
I know I'm commenting late, but I was on vacation when you posted this.
I can so understand your pain. I have a terrible time dealing with change. Don't like it at all. I agree with all the dear friends adivce from the other comments. Dont' deny the stages of grief, the store was a huge part of your life & selling it is a 'loss'. Your faith will keep you going, then soon you'll enter a new chapter in your life. It's kind of scary but exciting too! I see nothing but sucess for you my sweet friend. You have amazing style & loads of talent, & lots of friends. How can you lose?! Lisa

  20. Rebecca,

I just want to say "congrats" on having the courage to move on. As a previous store owner myself and having lots of friends in the "biz" all too often, the store stays open way longer than it should and becomes a source of angst and resentment and not joy. By taking trusting God and moving forward, you leave the store and its memories in tact. Your loving hard work, long hours, and tons of friends you made through your store is no less because you made this business decision. Now your heart is free to explore and your energy is higher. I have never looked back. Owning a store was one the best and most exciting experiences I ever had. It opened so many doors for me. But had I not chose to close it, those doors that opened for me would have closed because there are only so many hours in the day and my heart was pulling me to explore other avenues that the store was not allowing me time to. So congrats on your freedom to explore those new opened doors!! Enjoy and congrats for setting such a faithful example.

    Big hug
    Elizabeth

  21. Oh Rebecca I have been in the garden and hadn't heard your news. I am sorry that such a gorgeous place as yours is closing. So many of my faves are closing here in this area as well. My sweet friend Kim, is closing her shop (Vintage Gypsy) this week too. I drove by the other day and saw the sign. And since I live thirty miles away in another town, I didn't know. She says she is anxious for a new chapter in her life.
I know that you will continue to mine the beauty in your life...of that, I have no doubt! I can't wait to hear what all you have up your sleeve.
    hugs

  23. Hi Rebecca. I'm so glad to read about your positive attitude. I've been thinking of you and praying for you since we talked. I know you know that God's plan for you is for good (Jer 29:11). If I can help with anything just give me a call or email me.

    Blessings... Polly

  24. All your blog friends are supporting you, mee too! We all think we are wonderwoman, but our missions do evolve and change and make us grow. I gave up my main biz a few years ago...kinda miss it..but not really...life is more sane. People are what memories we take not purchases or sales. Gosh the store pieces will be a real blessing to someone.
    Love
    Marcie
