Hello,
Welcome back... I was giving you a Christmas tour of our home a few days ago, (here) but it just got too late and too many pictures. So I thought I would finish it up today.
I really didn't do much in the living room this year... I just ran out of time. So here are a few shots of the fireplace.
Years past I had a flocked tree in here, but this year it is still in storage.
Fresh greens around the fireplace.
I like to put fresh greens over the pocket doors leading to the dining room.
The living room looks into the family room, we use the living room mostly for sitting and reading.
The family room is the romp and television room.
It has tall ceilings, so every year we put up a 11 ft Fraser tree. We get our tree early so my husband likes a Fraser, they do not shed their needles.
They smell heavenly.
This year this bad boy came down on both my husband and me...
someone forgot to lock the tree stand. Luckily only the lights were on the tree but we both had needles in our hair :)
This is such a sunny room during the day, I thought I would show it during the afternoon also.
Thanks so much for joining me this Christmas season.
We will be traveling to Minnesota for Christmas.
I want to say again a big thank you to everyone that left such beautiful comments on my birthday.
I had such a great day!
My wish this year is for... that love abounds.
I am linking up with my friend Kathleen at Faded Charm for her White Wednesday party.
Blessings to you this busy week.
Rebecca

"She" isn't the only thing that shines...her mistress does 365 days a year.
ReplyDeleteThat tree takes me back to my childhood and the memory of Mother tying it to the wall to keep it from falling over! Law...how long does it take to decorate one that huge?
Merry Christmas my friend. May your Christmas wish come true...for all of us.
Love,
Debbie

Everything looks lovely. Our 9-foot fir fell down this year at 1:30 a.m. It was about 3/4 decorated, so we lost some ornaments. Glad yours was not decorated yet.

OMGoodness Rebecca! Your house is amazing! I love the sunroom!
ReplyDeleteDo tell what is that reflecting in the mirror over the matel in the living room? If that a light fixture? It looks as if it is hanging from the ceiling, but I can't really tell. Can we see a photo of that please! Hahaha!
Merry Christmas.
