Hello
I am amongst the living, I am happy to report. I still am not back to normal but close. This last weekend I had booked the flea market so with a lot of help from my son I managed to get through it, even though my energy level was low. The weather did not cooperate and it was miserable but that didn't seem to stop people from coming. I have a few pictures of my booth but I didn't get around to other vendors.
I have some shows planned this year but I really am slowing it down this year and concentrating on working some idea's out in the studio.
I took some bigger items this month and they sold, so I am happy. Maybe one of these years I will be able to get into the garage.
Jewelry usually sells well.
Lace Cuffs
While I was sick I got such a nice package from a dear blogging friend, Dorthe from Denlillelade. She is always so good and such a kind soul, bless her sweet heart.
Wrapped so beautiful in script paper and lace.
Such a talent she is... beautiful doll maker. I love this angel made from drift wood.
Along with a beautiful card made from bits and pieces of vintage goodness and a lovely lavender sachet bag.
Thank you, my good friend.
Wishing all of you a wonderful week. Hopefully I will be around to catch up on everyone's blog! I am linking up with
Kathleen at Faded Charm for her White Wednesday party.
Blessings
Rebecca

ReplyDeleteHi sweet Rebecca! I do hope you are back to 100% soon. Seems there's just no time to be under the weather! Your space looks amazing and I'm sure you sold tons of wonderful things. I love your taste so much, I'm sure there are many others that did too! Dorthe is such an angel friend, I love the treasures she sent you....feel better soon Rebecca, hugs and love, Dawn
ReplyDeleteOH Rebecca, I'm so sorry you had the crud. Your booth looked pretty darn fabulous for you still being less than 100%. Hope every day gets better and better for you.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Judy
I've been seeing a lot of cuff bracelets but yours are the first lace ones I've seen, beautiful!
ReplyDeleteMy husband says that's what garages are for (keeping junk and making a mess) and he practices that well.

Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh my goodness Rebecca ........ I want to buy the whole of your booth !!!! The little Victorian shoes, the journal, the spools of thread, the mirror, the old photographs and the cushions...oh the cushions !! It is everything that I love and look out for at flea markets and more. I just wished that I lived near you......the same country would be a start !!
ReplyDeleteI'm so pleased to hear that you are feeling a little better. Take care of yourself and rest when you can. Lots of love. XXXX

R.E.,
ReplyDeleteThank God for our children...right?
I'm glad you're on the mend...now just try not to push it. Easier said than done...huh?
Usually the folks who get out to shop when the weather is nasty are the serious shoppers. Goodness knows I won't get out just for a turkey leg!
Once again your creations blow me away.
Again...slow and easy wins the race.
Deb
P.S. I feel like such a slug as I sit here looking at what sould be in the mail and what you actually got mailed to you!
So glad to hear you are feeling better. The flu has been nasty this year and getting ready for a show is hard enough without being sick.
ReplyDeleteI so understand the garage thing. I got the furniture in mine finally done and out before winter so my car could sleep in it's bedroom again. My goal this year is not to fill up the garage again. Furniture is just too much work for someone who is single and something I am letting go of. Tired of moving those heavy pieces and trying to stick to smaller things.
Glad you had a good turn out at your show.
Cindy

Oh sweet Rebecca please take care. I hope you do recover completely and it sounds as if you are pacing yourself which is very good. Your chippy cabinet show your wares off wonderfully. I adore those cuffs. I do not make many things but was compelled to buy a vintage nightgown the other day because of the lace! You are in His Hands I know, love olive.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I stumbled across you. I hope your season of pain is nearly over. I am your newest follower. Hope you will visit and follow me and share your ideas. I am new to this and have much to learn.
