My Cutting Garden

After a very long weekend, we are doing well. My girls are doing well and I want to thank all of you for your beautiful words of comfort. The Lord is good and had prepared us for this hour, I thank and praise God for His ever abiding love on our family.

I am posting again from my past garden...
I have not posted the garden much because I have neglected it so... but this year I am anxious to get into it again and restore it.
I promised to post my "Cutting Garden" so I am linking up with Debra at Vintage Inspiration Friday to maybe inspire some of you out there, that are in your gardens already this year.
It is to early here in Chicago but I am in the planning stages.

I found using old cement and iron tables adds so much to the look that I was trying to create.

Entering through the gate to my cutting garden, it is a sunny spot so I can grow roses, cosmos and daisy's.

I had to add a spot to sit and enjoy some cookies and lemonade.

We built the wall for privacy and I love the look of limestone, to make it look like it had been there awhile I put iron widows walk on the top.
I am also linking up to Home Sweet Home at the Charm of Home, please go over and see all the inspiration!

Thank you Debra for hosting another inspirational Friday!

Stop over anytime, my door is always open.

Blessings
Rebecca

  12. R.E.,
I was watching a bio of Audrey Hepburn early this morning and she was reading a story about being with God by stepping outside. This has to be what she was reading...it's so heavenly. I needed this. The last few days I've been engulfed in dirt and grime...pretty always lifts my spirits!

  21. I love your garden Rebecca. It's beautiful. That umbrella with the fringe reminds me of what the Horton's did at The Secret Garden. Did you see it? She took doilies and put them all over the top of the umbrella so it looks very victorian. Very cute. I could see you doing something like that. I usually garden A LOT but this year we're building a house, so I gotta stay focused. It's hard, especially when I see pictures as beautiful as yours.
