I am late posting for the Outside the box party! For some reason I had it in my head it was Tuesday ... sometimes I even surprise myself with my flightiness. I have been working on these boxes for weeks now and I have had so much fun with them, I was so looking forward to this event and then I almost missed it! So better late than missing it all together! And with that here are my ideas for the cute little soap boxes that Lisa at Tattered and Tarnished found and hosted this fun party.
Here is the box, it is pressed paper and has a little hole in it so you could see the soap.
I embellished four different boxes - I just had fun and kept on going till I used them all.
First box
Second Box
Lace and encaustic wax

Third Box
Button Box with soldered window
Fourth Box
I am sorry Lisa... I am coming to the party late. Thank you for having this fun challenge... it was fun!
Thank you so much! Please go over to Tarnished and Tattered and see the list of all the other blogs that are making these wonderful boxes.
Many Blessings
Rebecca

ReplyDeleteOkay you over achiever! LOL Seriously, you rock girl! I love them all, but I gotta ask...did you solder the hole on #3? That's too cool! All of the beautiful elements you used made each one a little treasure. And they all look like you! Thanks for playing. Lisa

I'm going to scroll on down to see what I missed while I was at Paper Cowgirl, you'll be hearing from me again soon :)
No one will ever look at a soap box the same way again. All of these different and beautiful in their own way. I like the bird one best!

Rebecca amor...GORGEOUS!!! I am having a hard time choosing a favorite! The first one was so lovely & inspirational, then the second one...WOW...so lovely with wax on the lace, and the embelishments that you chose... I love how that looks! The 3rd one...Oh this one made my heart flutter :)The lace, buttons, the beautiful soldered window and the metal embelishment piece...oh GORGEOUS!!! It actually reminded me so much of my Ita :) The 4th one...nature inspired and ohhh so beautiful! It is a good thing I had the flu and didn't call you, I would have taken you away from creating such a array of boxes to share with us all :) Your own beauty and heart comes through in each one of these beautiful pieces that you created amor! Ok...so as much as I love them all...because of my Ita...the button box...you have to put that one some where VERY special...like my studio :) Thinking of you and hoping these days are starting to get better for you too...Besos, Rose

Beautiful boxes! Oh wow! You have such flair my friend!
ReplyDeleteGirl it's truly ok that you are late. Your boxes turned out so wonderfully! WOWZA! I have a question though, I really love the patina on the solder you used on the one box. What solder do you use or how do you get solder to look really aged like that once you've used it? (email me at abbinme@yahoo if you wouldn't mind) I would love to know. Thanks so much for posting such wonderful examples! You so Rocked the challenge!
ReplyDeleteHow could one possibly pick a favourite from those 4? Each one is just fabulous, a gorgeous little treasure box, so beautifully embellished. No, definitely cannot chose.
