Work in Progress

My Stars...

I will be working on Christmas projects for the shop now, every waking moment. It is crunch time from now until December 3rd when we have A Vintage Christmas Open House at Vintage Living. So I will be posting all my different projects each week and sharing with you my Christmas handmade goodies. Today I am working on my stars and no Rose at BellaRosa isn't here... (sorry, Rose I couldn't resist) I have been making these for around 16 years now and they are one of my best sellers. They are made from vintage fabric, old metal garland, old lace and trims. Some of them I have put images on but usually they have a button in the center. They are filled with sawdust to give them that old feel.
I hope you enjoy my mess.

This is a finished star, they look good hung on a mirror, or off a cupboard knob or hung high...I usually hang 3 together off my high shelf above the mantle.

This one is all hand sewn but some I use glue.

Waiting to become Christmas stars...

I am on the kitchen table today while my grandson Jesse is napping.

These are made of old printed velvet...

I am a coffee drinker :)

This one is special as the picture is of my dad.

Always good when I get some finished... 3 down a million to go.
Thanks for stopping by and I always appreciate your comments!
Blessings
Rebecca

  36. Well, Rebecca .... I think it is unanimous ... everyone LOVES your stars. Of course MY comment is "why relegate these lovelies to just Christmas??" I think the beauties are really year-'rounders! Also, let us who are WAY too far away know if you would ever consider online sales - maybe after the first of the year, as you are wanting these for your shop ... ??
HUGS and have a great weekend!
    Betty :)
