More than Common and Grounded in Love

A road trip by heavenly design...

I just spent the best part of this week with
Debra from Common Ground
at her lovely home in Missouri.
Debra and I became friends through our blogs...
but we became sisters through our Lord Jesus.

I needed some down time and a road trip at this moment in time...
Debra was gracious enough to open her home and arms to me.
I was treated to warm southern hospitality by her and her husband.

Their lovely home is held together by the love they have for each other and built on a foundation of love for Jesus their Lord and Saviour.

Debra and I sat most mornings sipping coffee and talking about our lives... where we came from, where we are now, what we knew to be true, where we failed,  how we survived but mostly how the Lord has led us down a path that neither one of us would trade for anything.  A path much in common.

We ate, laughed, cried and prayed together.
Two women the Lord put together and bonded in His love.

And of course their was shopping...

Shopping in Debra's space...

Give and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap... Luke 6: 37

Thank you Debra, my cup runneth over.

Blessings,
Rebecca

  27. Hello Rebecca,
Thank you so much for your beautiful visit and wonderful comment that only added to my day, you are way to kind.

Wow!! you had a beautiful visit with out Debra from her not so common ground :)

I adore her, and thank you so for sharing more of her and her beautiful home with us.
It was so wonderful that the Lord could put two wonderful people together as he did with you too!
LUKE 1:35 Holy is the son of God.

So beautiful that walking in faith would bring the two of you together and not just a beauitful friendship but a sister bond.
It truly was a blessing that you were able to find passion and pray on your visit.

I just think Debra is a doll, I just don't know how she does it all, and answers emails with our questions on her camera and the help we need in our choices in what to look for in the quality of such.

I am so proud to call her a friend as well and beautiful bloggy friend and one through him.
Debra bought my "SANCTUARY" sign from my peaceful esty! She ended up with the one of mine that was featured in Romantic Homes Magazine. I was ever so excited that she was the one with the featured piece.

Have a beautiful blessed week to come.
    xoxo

  30. Wonderful moments for two wonderful souls - purrfectly meant to be that your paths should meet.

A special thank you Debra for sharing your home with Rebecca; and to Rebecca for sharing it through these wonderful photos! But I got to tell you that "she" about peed her pants over the brown transferware pitcher with the nesting bird. I guess I should censor posts before letting "her" see them ;)

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

    Purrs!

  31. Don't ya just love it when women get together! Looks like fun. Did you buy any fun stuff? I found some old Christmas baubles the othe day at a store in Noblesville and they reminded me of you. I'm not sure if I'll use them on my tree or craft with them. Next time you come to Tipton, you'll have to take a day and go shopping in downtown Noblesville.

  39. What a lovely post. How nice that you could visit with Debra. I only know her through blogging. How blessed you are to have connected with her on a deeper level. I haven't found that extra special connection with any of the many christian bloggers yet, but now that I've read your post, I will be praying for one. I feel blessed by just reading about what you have.
