In my studio...
Where time stands still
And all my cares melt away.
In my studio...
Where I am all that I am meant to be,
And my ideas become reality.
In my studio...
Where the quiet softness of the atmosphere surrounds me,
And I can hear the small, still voice within me.
In my studio...
Where I find myself again - after the world chips away at my creative spirit,
And I am whole again.
In my studio...
Where my thoughts and prayers turn to praise,
And I feel closest to my Saviour.
In my studio... where I am content to be me.
This is one of my favorite gals... she is made of linen and I love her painted face.
Rebecca, such a beautiful, contemplative atmosphere. How blessed you are to have this space! I love your family photo keepsakes!

your studio is gorgeous!!!! it looks like a upscale boutique, i would just daydream the day away in there
ReplyDeleteOh Rebecca I can't tell you how thrilled I am that you are going to be in the magazine!!! Of course they would want you. Just look at your fabulous rooms! I can't wait till the issue's come out with all our friends! I emailed Jo and offered the suggestion of putting all the gals she's contacted who joined the Where Bloggers Create party to be in the same issue. I don't know if she will go for it or not but it might be cool. Talk to you later. Please let me know when they come and what the photo shoot was like. I have no idea what to expect!

no, the frames are reproductions of old tin.
ReplyDeleteRebecca,
ReplyDeleteI have loved your studio since seeing Where Women Create. I can see why you feel such a spiritual lift when you are there. And your father was an artist also? He certainly passed his talent down!!
I will be thinking and praying for Luke and your family...

Rebecca, I was literally stunned looking at your studio. You have such gorgeous pieces and the way you display them, I could just sit here all afternoon and look and see new things :)I always say that my bebe studio wants to grow up to be like Dawn of The Feathered Nests studio because well it is gorgeous and HUGE, but the look I want for my studio is an old style store..kinda merchantile or beautiful boutique as Stephanie above said. My pieces are all old and time worn, I wante to paint maybe one or 2 pieces but the rest I love the way they are, the varnish faded and some of the veneers worn or torn away, They just look beautiful to me. Your studio looks like a place that not only inspires but a beautiful getaway from lifes everyday moments...I also love the way you display your old family pictures, I want to do that also...Goodness lets be honest..I just want your studio. But Congratulations on being featured in Where Woman Create, I wish they could do your whole house...maybe we should contact Romantic Homes and they can dedicate at least 1/2 an issue..it's just an idea..I am know I am just being selfish, but I truly would love to see more of the beauty that is your home :) Thank you for sharing...Rose
ReplyDeleteMy stars after writing all that, I completely forgot what should have been at the beginning of my comment...Luke and your family are in my prayers. Be well and be happy...Rose

Luscious studio pics. I especially like the fabric and tinsel star, and the artist 'palette' mirror. Your family pictures are wonderful. I adore my family pics., of which there are many, as well
